GUAM WAR CLAIMS

Public Law 35-61 created the Guam War Claims Fund to compensate adjudicated claims of the Greatest Generation of Guam for the atrocities suffered during the World War II Occupation of Guam.

The law allows for the creation of a local War Claims Program wherein, through a Memorandum of Agreement between the Government of Guam and the U.S. Department of Treasury, the Government of Guam advances the payment of adjudicated claims.

To find out whether your claim has been adjudicated, please contact the Foreign Claims Settlement Commission at (202) 616-6975 or info.fcsc@usdoj.gov
